It started with a connection to the piece “Hold it Lightly…”
…and ended with a beautiful collaboration. The client and I discussed stories, symbolism, songs, and meaningful words to weave into the piece. We even included a hidden kanji character for adventure, inspired by the theme of Aventure. Every detail—from the number of flowers to the overall mood—was carefully curated to reflect their vision.
Commissions can take many forms: sometimes they are highly specific and symbolic, other times they begin as simply as, “I love this painting, but could you make it smaller or in a different color?” No matter the approach, the process is always a conversation—an exchange that ensures the final piece is uniquely personal and deeply meaningful to the client.
